In 2015, this open edition of the WDW - Maleficent pin from the Disney Dragons series stood out as one of seven Hidden Mickey pins in a set released during Wave B at Walt Disney World. Each pin features a bust portrait of an animated Disney dragon on a color background, with exceptions to right-profile pins featuring Maleficent, the grand dragon from Disney's Sleeping Beauty animated film. Placed elegantly against a magenta backdrop, this hidden icon is complemented by the small Hidden Mickey emblem on the left side of each pin, excepting the Exception pin that opts for its position in a different spot. Originally obtainable solely through trade with cast members, in August of the same year pouches containing two randomly selected pins were available to purchase for a nominal fee. The exclusive pin showcases Maleficent, one of themost grand dragons, against a colorful background. Accompanying pins include Figment from EPCOT, Madam Mim from Sword in the Stone, and Mushu from Mulan among others, with Figment appearing once more on an accompanying silver Chaser pin.The Exception pin features Gwythaints from Black Cauldron.
