Why We Started

Pin Portfolio began as a personal hobby project, born from a desire to bring organization and modern tools to the wonderful world of Disney Pin trading. We realized that while our collections were growing, the ways we tracked them were stuck in the past.

Our mission is simple: to provide a centralized, modern home for your collection where every pin has its place. No more wondering what's on which board or digging through old photos to find a specific LE number.

Real-Time Insights

We know how fast-paced pin trading events can be. Market values shift quickly, especially for Limited Edition and "Grail" pins. We built Pin Portfolio with the ability to instantly refresh prices using real-time eBay data, giving you the edge when negotiating trades.

Empowering Sellers

We have a few close friends who are dedicated Disney Pin sellers, like our friends over at Ronald Lee's Closet.

We wanted to build something to support them. Our roadmap includes future tools to help sellers list their pins on eBay directly from their portfolio, streamlining their workflow so they can focus on their passion.

Truly Independent & Community Driven

Best of all, Pin Portfolio is and always will be 100% free for everyone. This isn't a massive corporate operation; it's a labor of love maintained for the community.

Our Other Projects

We love building useful tools from open data. Our other hobby project, POI Explorer, is a geographic directory of points of interest from around the world. It lets you explore everything from continents down to individual street-level venues, all powered by open-source data from OpenStreetMap, GeoNames, and Who's On First.

Whether you are planning a trip to a Disney park or just exploring a new city, POI Explorer makes it easy to discover what is around you. Both projects share the same philosophy: take great data, build something useful on top of it, and give it away for free.
