Released between 1987 and 1999, this open edition badge features shield-shaped engravings measuring approximately one and one-eighth inches tall by three-quarters of an inch wide that depict Mickey as a Firefighter shaking hands with another fire officer below the text ASSISTANT CHIEF. The phrase FIRE CHIEF appears at the top while MAGIC KINGDOM forms an arch across the bottom, with the official copyright mark situated under Mickey's foot on the right; this vintage brass design originally sold at Magic Kingdom's Fire Department store and is noted for its distinctive pewter-silver finish that differs from the standard silver-colored Reedy Creek Fire Department variants.
