Released in 2014 as an open edition, this pin is part of the Disney Birds set featuring Hidden Mickey pins from Wave B at Disneyland. Each egg-shaped pin frames a different Disney bird character and often includes a small Hidden Mickey emblem placed deftly around the design. Initially exclusive to trading with cast members, later pouches held two random Hidden Mickey pins for purchase. This particular pin showcases Ugly Duckling from an 1940 Silly Symphony short, facing right as he looks over his left shoulder with a quizzical expression. The iconic small Hidden Mickey icon is positioned on the right side of the blue background. Flanking this design are Clara Cluck and Nutsy and Trigger. As part of this set, the pin concludes with Donald Duck’s familiar silhouette and Jose Carioca in silver-themed waffles, featuring a common post marked by two nubs.
