Description

Released in 2013 as part of an Limited Edition 500 set sold at D23 for $14.99, this pin showcases a closed cover constructed from gold riveted metal that mirrors the Nautilus's exterior while featuring a center stained glass panel displaying the "D Presents Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives" logo in white. The frame is detailed with two brown Giant Squid tentacles curling over the top and bottom, hinging to reveal an underwater scene inside where divers clad in Captain Nemo's submarine walk upon the sea floor. Each piece stands out as one of a set of storybook-style collectibles dedicated to Disney films represented by artifacts within the Museum of Science and Industry Chicago exhibition from October through May.
