Released as a limited edition piece restricted to only 2500 pieces, this special pin commemorates the grand opening of the resort in Ko Olina, Hawaii, featuring a playful pie-eyed Mickey wearing a kukui nut lei and relaxing in a beach chair beneath the signature arch. Although the public first arrived at the venue in August, the celebratory ceremonies were postponed until September, resulting in a unique product packaged in clear plastic without a card backing, complete with the official Disney copyright hallmark on the reverse side.
